The MAK Pellet Boss is a fully assembled local Wi-Fi controller that intercepts your grill’s legacy telemetry, giving you a modern, real-time dashboard and smart probe alarms entirely on your home network. This unit arrives fully flashed and ready to deploy. It provides the exact same features as the open-source repository, pre-built for users who want the upgrade without sourcing microcontrollers or messing with web flashers and serial ports. Key Features 100% Local Processing: No cloud dependencies, subscriptions, or external servers. Your grill communicates directly with the controller over your home Wi-Fi. Responsive Web Dashboard: Monitor pit temperature, active setpoints, and up to three food probes simultaneously from any phone, tablet, or computer on your network. Cook History Graphing: Automatically charts pit and probe temperatures from the moment your grill passes the 150°F ignition threshold. Smart Alarms & Push Notifications: Set individual target temperatures for your meat probes and receive instant mobile alerts via the free ntfy app. Hardware-Enforced Safety: Designed to prevent remote ignition while allowing secure remote shutdown. The UI automatically locks during the physical cooldown cycle. What's Included Pre-Flashed Microcontroller: Seeed Studio XIAO ESP32-S3 loaded with the latest stable firmware. Extended Range Antenna: External Wi-Fi antenna included to ensure a stable bridge connection through exterior walls to your patio. Note: Requires a standard 5V USB wall adapter and cable (not included). Setup in Three Steps Power: Plug the unit into a standard USB charger somewhere physically between your home router and your grill. Configure: Connect to the controller's setup Wi-Fi network from your phone and enter your home network credentials.
